On the morning of May 31, Tembisa South police officers were executing their duties at Vusimusi Section, when they received a complaint from NetStar tracking services about a hijacked motor vehicle.
According to the Tembisa South SAPS communication officer, Captain Neldah Sekgobela, the police proceeded to the address and on arrival found a silver Jeep which had allegedly been hijacked in Sunnyside in May.
“The vehicle was parked inside the yard. The owner of the yard was asked about the whereabouts of the owner of the vehicle. The woman in the yard told the police that the vehicle was parked at night by one of the boys who is known to her but she didn’t know his whereabouts,” said Sekgobela.
Captain Sekgobela said the landlord was arrested and taken to Tembisa South SAPS for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
