Fixed speed camera spots on the cards for Kempton Park
10km/h above any speed limit is authorised for prosecution
COMPARED to other Ekurhuleni cities, Kempton Park has no fixed speed camera sites, only 10 mobile ones.
This is according to EMPD spokesperson, Senior Supt Wilfred Kgasago.
Boksburg, for example, has 29 points. Kgasago added that the metro police had already erected fixed cameras in priority areas in Germiston, Edenvale and Benoni, which are in operation, and plan to do the same in Kempton Park.
The authorisation of mobile speed camera sites for traffic law enforcement affect the following routes:
Allandale Road, in both directions between Sycamore Boulevard and Zuurfontein Road (speed limit 80km/h)
