Bike club to raise funds for cancer patient

The fundraiser will be held at the Ebenezer Pub and Grill in Pomona on July 8

NOBLE Ones Bike Club is hosting a cancer charity event to raise funds for Esta Smit (41) who is living with cancer.

Smit, a Bredell resident, was diagnosed with breast cancer in December last year. Although this will be the young club’s first charity event, they plan on having it on an annual basis.

For just R80 a ticket, the community will get to experience a fun-filled family day that will cater for both adults and kiddies. There will be awesome prizes. Gift bags will be given away and metal badges – especially created for the day – will be issued to each person who buys a ticket.

Malt lovers are invited to participate in a beer competition and T-shirts will also be on sale for R60 each.

The fundraiser will be held at the Ebenezer Pub and Grill, Pomona Road, Pomona on July 8.

Contact details to pre-book tickets are as follows: Jason Joseph (president) on 076 3926688; Natasha Joseph (first lady) on 072 0388125; Arlene Everts (secretary) on 064 1908256 and Lavern Japhta on 074 9605614.

Alternatively, tickets can be bought at the entrance on the day.
