Three Festival Mall stores burgled

A navy-blue Kia Cerato and white Mercedes-Benz B-Class were used as getaway vehicles

SEVEN suspects are wanted for the burglary of three stores at Festival Mall on June 19 shortly after 4.30am.

The mall’s management confirmed that Gold for Life, Sterns and Jules of Kempton were broken into when the burglars gained access to the mall through Entrance Three.

Festival Mall marketing manager, Lee-Anne Leathley, said the suspects fled with an unknown amount of jewellery and used a navy-blue Kia Cerato and a white Mercedes-Benz B-Class as getaway vehicles.

According to Leathley, the police were notified and arrived promptly. An investigation by the police and Festival Mall management is currently underway.

“All necessary safety and security measures and procedures are in place. The safety of all patrons and shoppers is, and always remains, the centre’s top priority and we will continue to remain alert,” she said.
