Three injured as truck and car collide on Zuurfontein Road
The two occupants of the car had sustained serious injuries, including leg fractures
Three people were injured in an accident at the intersection of Chloorkop Road (M39) and Zuurfontein Road on Wednesday night when a truck and car collided.
Nick Dollman, spokesman for Netcare 911, said paramedics found the truck had overturned as a result of the collision.
“Paramedics attended to three patients. The two occupants of the car had sustained serious injuries, including leg fractures. Both were in considerable pain which paramedics managed by administering analgesic medication.
“They were stabilised at the scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance under the care of advanced life support paramedics. The driver of the truck sustained less serious injuries. He was taken to a different hospital for further assessment and care,” Dollman said.
