Memorial service for DJ Sbu’s father to be held this weekend
Sbusiso Leope, also known as DJ Sbu, said his father suffered from diabetes.
Former SAPS Captain Ludwick Molahlegi Leope died on Sunday night following a long illness.
According to the Leope family, Loepe had been in hospital for about three months and that’s where he died on July 2.
Sbusiso Leope, also known as DJ Sbu, said his father suffered from diabetes.
“We are sad as a family. We want to thank both his former colleagues and friends who have supported him throughout his sickness,” said DJ Sbu.
The DJ said his father was well known for his long service in the Tembisa SAPS, before he moved to the Bedfordview SAPS where he retired in 2012.
Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson, Captain Andre de Jager, said Leope was a hardworking detective and a good leader, who did not mind showing young police members how to investigate cases properly.
DJ Sbu said the late Loepe will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 8, at Waterval cemetery.
“The memorial service will be held at 9am at the Old Apostolic Church in Phomolong Section, on the corner of ET Mdaka and Maduna drives. The burial will be at 11am at Waterval cemetery,” said DJ Sbu.
