THREE alleged robbers were wounded, one critically, following a shootout with police in Greenstone on Friday afternoon.
A video posted by social cohesion advocate and anti-crime activist, Yusuf Abramjee, shows cars at a standstill on a street, while gun shots can be heard in the background.

Capt Masondo of the provincial SAPS confirmed that the shooting took place and he was on his way to the scene of the crime.
According to Bedfordview and Edenevale News, the SAPS Crime Intelligence Unit and Gauteng Traffic Saturation units as well as private security companies were following up on information they received when the confrontation happened.
The officials attempted to stop the vehicle the three suspects were travelling in when the suspects opened fire. A shootout ensured and the suspects were injured.

ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen, confirmed that a man sustained critical injuries and two others moderate injuries.
“Upon ER24’s arrival, the police were already on scene. All three of the men were found outside a vehicle,” van Huyssteen explained.
ER24 transported one patient to a nearby hospital. Another medical service transported the other two patients to hospital.
