NORKEM Park SAPS are on the hunt for suspects who stole a gate motor on Mimosa Street, Birchleigh.
Police spokesperson Capt Lesibana Molokomme said the crime happened in the morning of August 23 between 9.55am and 10.30am and no suspects had been arrested yet.
Another gate motor was stolen the same day at a house on Blackthorne Avenue in Van Riebeeck Park. Apparently a builder who was sleeping in the outside room said it happened around 4am. He saw lights looking like torches going off and on.
Molokomme said these kinds of crimes had a tendency of happening repeatedly.
“We would like to ask all residents to be on the lookout and to supply information and tips to the police to help arrest these criminals. Anyone with information can contact authorities on 011 391 1814/5,” said Molokomme.
