Benoni flying squad discovered a stolen vehicle while executing their patrol duties around Tembisa on September 22.
Ekurhuleni North Cluster communication officer, Capt Neldah Sekgobela, said the white Toyota Fortuner was recovered at Umfuyaneng section.
“The vehicle was parked inside a yard and one male suspect was arrested at the scene.
The suspect was taken to Tembisa South SAPS for detention. Investigations revealed that the vehicle was hijacked at Sinoville this month,” said Sekgobela.
The suspect is expected to appear at the Tembisa Magistrate Court on Tuesday to face his charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
