Join “The Star: A Journey to Christmas Series”
Gateway believes Christmas can still truly give us a taste of the most wonderful time in world history.
EVERYONE is invited to attend Gateway Presbyterian Church’s four-week series based on the advent themes of hope, love, joy and peace called The Star: A Journey to Christmas at 9am on Sundays.
Over 2 000 years ago, a star burst through the darkness and signalled the long-awaited, yet still unexpected birth of a Saviour. Gateway believes Christmas can still truly give us a taste of the most wonderful time in world history.
“The true light came into the darkness and stress and pain of the world, our world. That world then, just like our world now, including our lives, needs the light to illuminate, clarify, guide and heal. This is the journey of following the star to Christmas and beyond. Jesus is the only reason for this season,” says Rev Sean Wells.
“In a season often marked by frenzied busyness, advent is an opportunity to set aside time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. The relevant messages in this series are designed to help us place our focus on a far greater story than our own – the story of God’s redeeming love for our world.”
With coffee and tea, lighting of the advent wreath and a gift for visitors, The Star: A Journey to Christmas, is the perfect opportunity for families throughout the community to come together to celebrate this special season.
