Entrepreneurs learn at TEA seminar at Rabasotho
Speakers addressed entrepreneurs on innovative ways to accelerate the South African economy in growth and sustainability.
Township Entrepreneurs Alliance (TEA) hosted its third annual township business innovation seminar at Rabasotho Community Hall on November 18.
The theme was innovation in business.
The event featured motivational addresses from speakers such as Minister Jeff Radebe of the office of the Presidency and Cisco South Africa director Charmaine Houvet, chief marketing officer at Proudly South Africa and Happy MaKhumalo Ngidi of Media Maven, Marketing Aficionado, Speaker and CEO of Flowa Media Trevor Zungu.
Speakers addressed entrepreneurs on innovative ways to accelerate the South African economy in growth and sustainability. Radebe urged young entrepreneurs to continue with their initiatives and contribute to the creation of jobs, while Ngidi encouraged everyone to start buying local products.
The event was a free-to-attend affair and it offered entrepreneurs the opportunity to exhibit their businesses. Entrepreneurs were also offered the opportunity to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges.
All entrepreneurs were given a fair chance of selection as they were asked to bring forward their business cards after which a raffle draw took place.
The lucky six pitchers selected were Clement Rantho from Rantho Publishing House, Rejoice Malesesi from Malesesi Trading and Projects, Kgaugelo from Tembisa Wines Festival, Loyiso Hoza from Community Discount Network, Noluvuyo Jelemia from Project Hope and the R5 000 pitch winner Moepi McDonald Setona from Saya-Setona.
