Cutlery stolen from murdered Van Riebeeck Park doctor’s home

Two men were also nabbed with stolen copper cables

A man who allegedly broke into the home of murdered Dr Pieter van Eeden, was arrested on Thursday last week.

Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, said sector vehicle members members responded to a complaint of a housebreak-in in progress on Pretorius Street at 11am.

When they arrived, they found the 32-year-old man in possession of tea cups, plates, bowls, curtains and towels allegedly taken from the house.

On the same day at 1.30pm on Martin Prinsloo Street in Norkem Park, CPF members arrested two men in possession of stolen copper cables worth about R2 500.

All three suspects had been charged with possession of suspected stolen goods.
