14 injured as taxi and car collide near Esselen Park

The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to various hospitals

Fourteen people were injured on Saturday afternoon when a taxi and car collided on Link Road in Esselen Park.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi and car on the same side of the road. The passengers from the taxi were walking around on the scene, Russel Meiring of ER24 said.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found 14 had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were recorded.

The patients were treated for their injuries and transported to various hospitals for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
