Cluster nabs 40 suspects over the weekend

Forty suspects arrested by the Ekurhuleni North Cluster for various crimes

MEMBERS of the Ekurhuleni North Cluster were kept busy with crime prevention stop-and-search operations on Friday and Saturday.

The cluster is made up of Tembisa, Kempton Park, Norkem Park, Ivory Park, Sebenza, Tembisa South, Olifansfontein and Rabie Ridge Police Stations.

The operations yielded positive results and saw 40 suspects arrested for various crimes ranging from driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless and negligent driving, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen goods, shoplifting, theft, fraud and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm (assault GBH).

All the suspects will appear in the Tembisa and Kempton Park Magistrate’s Courts respectively.
