
A 29-year-old ATM technician was fatally shot at a machine that he was working on in Endulweni Section on February 11 at about 2 pm.
Tembisa SAPS communication officer, Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha, said it was alleged that the deceased, who was a technician for SBV Services, came to fix an ATM machine in a bottle store in Endulwini section.
“The deceased was approached by five men, one of them was in possession of a firearm. The deceased ran pass his motor vehicle. He was chased and shot in the chest and fell in the street and was later certified as dead,” added Ralidzivha.
Ralidzivha said the suspects ran from the scene on foot.
“Nothing was taken from him. His motor vehicle was also left on the scene. A murder case was opened at Tembisa SAPS.”
The Tembisa SAPS is appealing to members of the community who may have information about the suspects to come forward.
