Birchleigh domestic worker locked up for hours after robbery

Two cars, among other things, were stolen.

The police are looking for three men in connection with a Birchleigh house robbery last week Thursday at about noon.

Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson Capt Lesibana Molokomme confirmed that the unidentified armed suspects overpowered a domestic worker who was taking out the trash. The men locked her in a bathroom.

She was only found roughly nine hours later when the homeowner returned just after 9pm.

The three suspects got away with a TV, jewellery, carpets, potted plants and two vehicles, a white Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and a white Hyundai i10.

Molokomme confirmed the Mitsubishi was recovered in Klipfontein in Midrand.

Thus far, no arrests have been made.

Molokomme urges anyone with information to call the Norkem Park station on 011 391 1814/5 or 086 001 0111.

The missing White Hyundai i10’s registration number is DS 53 BT GP.
