Alleged Glen Marais killer’s verdict to be heard on February 27

The suspect was arrested the same day at Glen Acres Shopping Centre.

A woman accused of killing her mother at her Glen Marais home last year will learn her fate on February 27.

The Johannesburg South High Court will hand down the verdict against Lerato Henrietta Monamodi (33) on this day.

It is alleged she assaulted her 53-year-old mother, Refiloe Rebecca Monamudi, who was a former advocate, before dragging her into the swimming pool where she was found dead on March 5 at around 7am.

The suspect was arrested the same day at Glen Acres Shopping Centre while driving her deceased mother’s car with her six-year-old boy who apparently witnessed the gruesome killing of her grandmother.
