Since the release of the new refuse removal calendar for Kempton Park, various residents have complained about certain suburbs being listed twice a week.
According to Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro, the calendar is correct.
“We are abreast of the said confusion raised. However, it has been mitigated by border clarification of the service areas’ days reflected on the comprehensive refuse removal map.
“Residents are encouraged to read the refuse removal programme in tandem with the map for ease of location reference,” Gadebe said.
The metro has 58 275 service points a week with about 10 trucks servicing a certain area per day.
