The City of Ekurhuleni’s Environment and Waste Management Services Department has completed the roll-out project of the new 240-litre wheelie bins in Kempton Park.
The project began in August 2017 and was completed in March, said metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
Though the city officials will not return to Kempton Park for mass distribution, residents who missed the opportunity to collect bins at various distribution spots can collect them at the waste management depot situated on the corner of H Lewis Street and Kelvin Road in Spartan from Monday to Friday from 8am to 3.30pm.
Residents must ensure they take a copy of their ID and municipal account statement to the depot for bin collection.
