Ivory Park SAPS request any person with information regarding the murder of a 40-year-old man from Tswelopele in the early hours of April 26 to come forward.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Captain Bernard Matimulane, it appears as if the victim heard a commotion coming from another room in the same yard.
“At the time, the occupant of that room, who also operates a tuck shop, was being robbed by a group of five armed robbers. It is alleged that immediately after they robbed the tuck shop owner, three shots were fired outside the room and that was where the victim was found lying, with a gunshot wound on his upper back. His room was ransacked and his phone is missing,” said Matimulane.
A case of murder and robbery have been opened at the Ivory Park SAPS.
