Tembisa SAPS arrested a man for killing his girlfriend on May 6.
“It is alleged that the deceased and her boyfriend had a fight in their shack on Sunday evening. Later it became quiet and there was no more fighting during that night,” said Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha.
The girlfriend was never seen again since that Sunday evening to the Monday evening. The neighbours suspected that something may have happened to her.
Police was called to the scene and they found a body of a 35-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood.
Paramedics certified her dead on the scene,” said Ralidzhivha.
Ralidzhivha said the suspect, a male (33) was also found on the scene.
“He had stab wounds on his lower body.
“He was immediately arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend.
“He was later taken to hospital for treatment,” added Ralidzhivha.
The suspect will be appearing at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court immediately after he is discharged from hospital.
