A man was arrested in Makhulong Section for possession of an unlicensed firearm on May 4.
Tembisa SAPS communications officer Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said SAPS members of the Ekurhuleni North Cluster were on patrol around Tembisa and received information about a man who was in possession of a firearm.
“Police went to a house in Makhulong Section.
“They found the 32-year-old suspect in his room.
“SAPS members asked the suspect what was inside the computer box.
“He told police there is nothing,” said Ralidzhivha.
When police opened the computer box they found that he had hidden the firearm inside it.
“He was immediately arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm. Police would like to thank members of the community for providing the information.
“We are appealing to community members to keep on providing information to the SAPS,” said Ralidzhivha.
