Delivering her keynote address, Mayathula- Khoza acknowledged the role played by churches in the communities.

“There are people in our communities who are in need, like orphans and the aged among others, that need social services. Therefore, churches have to work together with our government to ensure that the needy in our communities are well looked after. As we mark Freedom Day celebrations in April, we remember our political icon the late Rolihlahla Nelson Mandela who put the interests of the people first to ensure their well-being. We as South Africans acknowledge the country’s political strides,” said Mayathula-Khoza.

Community members of Tembisa and other parts of Gauteng, as well as councillor Pearl Siyoko, came in numbers to receive their spiritual blessings.

According to AFMA pastor Sydney Mthombeni, people brought along their loved ones to enjoy the inspiring messages meant to benefit the spiritual, physical and emotional well-being of the people delivered by the International Overseer of the Apostolic Faith Mission of Africa, Reverend Bishop Rosewell Zulu.

“As the winds of the Great Spiritual Revival picked up momentum and spread through the souls of the ones who wanted to reach out to God, people received their spiritual blessings of new birth, sanctification and baptismal of the Holy Ghost and many other spiritual blessings,” said Mthombeni.
