Man kidnapped outside his home in Emmangweni Section

She smelt something like pepper spray outside in the yard

A man was kidnapped at a house in Emmangweni Section on May 4.

Tembisa SAPS’ communications officer, Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, said the wife alleges that while she was watching television with her two children in the dining room, she heard a noise outside in the yard.

“Her husband was sleeping in the outside room.

“After she heard the noise outside, the wife went out to investigate what was going on.

“She smelt something like pepper spray outside in the yard,” said Captain Ralidzhivha.

He said according to the wife there were a lot of people on the street.

Captain Ralidzhivha said bystanders told the wife that her 52-year-old husband had been kidnapped by three men who were driving a red Condor.

“She informed the police and a case of kidnapping was opened.

“Since Friday, May 4, 52-year-old Ben Thukwena has not been seen.

“We are appealing to anyone who has any information, to contact the Tembisa police on 011 926 2970,” said Captain Ralidzhivha.
