Kempton Park SAPS, in conjunction with the metro police and other law enforcement agencies, including security officers, embarked on a crime prevention operation on Saturday.
“The operation aimed to keep the Kempton Park community safe from being victims of crime and prevent unnecessary accidents contributed by driving under the influence of alcohol,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson at Kempton Park SAPS.
“The operation yielded positive results and saw the arrest of 20 suspects for different crimes. Three were arrested for possession of drugs, two for assault, two for attempted rape and attempted robbery and 13 for driving under the influence of alcohol.”
