Motorcyclist saves woman from being raped in Pomona

The men asked her for the time before they attacked her

Kempton Park SAPS members arrested two suspects on charges of robbery and attempted rape.

This comes after a female victim alleged she was attacked by four males on May 26.

“The victim said she was walking alone alongside an open space in Pomona when four males approached her asking her for the time,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

“Soon after she told them the time, two of the men allegedly grabbed her cellphone while the other two dragged her into the open space and forced her to the ground. One of the suspects sat on her chest and they pointed a firearm at her while undressing her.”

The suspects were interrupted by a motorcyclist.

“One suspect was taking off his pants in an attempt to rape the victim when they were disturbed by a motorcyclist,” said Ditshego.

“The men left the victim naked on the ground and approached the motorcyclist and tried to take his motorcycle. The victim managed to escape and ran to get help. The police arrested two of the suspects later that day.”
