Ward 16 EFF chairperson’s court case postponed

Izek Mampana’s case has been postponed to June 28.

The court case against ward 16 EFF branch chairperson Izek Mampana, who was arrested for intimidation and assault at the Glen Marikana Informal Settlement on Dann Road on May 18, had again been postponed on Friday.Mampana just briefly appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court where the case was remanded until June 28 pending further investigations.

The arrest followed after a metro police raid went wrong and resulted in shots being fired at the settlement.

Mampana was released after being granted R500 bail on the same day of his arrest.
