Officials from Ekurhuleni’s water department have just informed ward councillor Jaco Terblanche that tonight’s planned water shutdown has been cancelled.

According to Terblanche he was informed the metro found a way to repair the pipe at the corner of Veld Street and Dann Road without closing the reservoir.

He said hopefully water to areas affected this afternoon would be restored later today.
