Sibusisi is bringing his coffee to Tembisa
Tembisa lad is looking for a partner to venture with him into coffee business.
Finding a business partner who shares the same vision can be a difficult and a daunting exercise for an aspiring entrepreneur.
Sibusiso Phike is not new to business and he comes from a family that has a strong business background.
“My grandfather used to own a restaurant called Streamers in the Western Cape.
“I learned from him and later on I became a co-owner of a hot dog business which my partner and I ran on sidewalks,” said Phike.
The 27-year-old aspiring entrepreneur said after completing his matric he enrolled at Wits University for a civil engineering course and two years later he dropped out due to financial constraints.
After that, he worked in a call centre for a South African cellphone network company.
Phike now wants to venture into the beverage business focusing on hot drinks, particularly coffee.
“I am inspired by shops like Mugg & Bean whose customers are mostly from affluent suburbs.
“I want to bring that business into Tembisa township,” said Phike.
He further explained that Kasi residents do love coffee as well but they are forced to leave the township to get their coffee from malls in town.
“It is a unique business, there’s a gap here and that is a business I am passionate about,” explained Phike.
He is currently looking for someone who shares the same passion to venture with him in this business undertaking.
