Ekurhuleni North Cluster appeals for assistance in arresting rape suspect

The suspect is being sought for the alleged rape of an Ivory Park woman in March

The Ekurhuleni North Cluster’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating the man on the identikit.

According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Captain Bernard Matimulane, the suspect is being sought for the alleged rape of an Ivory Park woman in March this year, during which the victim was not only raped but threatened with death and robbed as well.

“To ensure the victim in this horror episode has her dignity restored, and to ensure that no other person suffers the same amount of pain inflicted on the victim, the FCS wants this man behind bars as soon as possible,” said Matimulane.

Anyone with information may contact Detective Sergeant Reuben Chirundu of the Ekurhuleni North FCS on 083 989232 or 011 990 9600.
