Kempton Park residents flocked to Kempton Park Civic Centre for the City of Ekurhuleni’s open day on Friday to get their service enquiries sorted.
The City uses the open day programme to get residents’ service enquiries resolved speedily.
The City’s customer relations manager at Kempton Park, Mzwakhe Nkambule, said this initiative would go a long way in instilling a culture of participation among residents to make their City work.

He said it would also assist residents with information on how they could get their service problems addressed instead of resorting to protests when they have not exhausted all available remedies such as escalating their service issues to relevant officials.
“All City departments were available to tell residents of the services offered and how they could be contacted,” Nkambule said.
During open days, residents’ contact details are collected for future direct communication in case of planned service interruptions. National and provincial departments are also invited during these sessions so they can address service related enquiries to their work.
For any service delivery question or logging of a call for service delivery in the City of Ekurhuleni, residents may call 0860 543 000.
