Check here if your suburb will be in the dark

The probability of rotational load shedding remains high as Eskom has issued an alert for Stage 1 load shedding for this evening from 5pm to 9pm.
The power system remains constrained with the risk of Stage 1 load shedding remaining high for this evening due to a shortage of capacity, Eskom said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.
Customers are encouraged to continue to use electricity sparingly.
While Eskom has not implemented rotational load shedding this morning, an alert for rotational load shedding from 5pm to 9pm has been issued. Should load shedding be implemented this evening, it would be for a period of up to four hours.
Level 1 load shedding requires 1000MW to be load-shed nationwide.
If load shedding is implemented, these areas will be affected:
8pm to 10pm: Birchleigh, Birchleigh North, Glen Erasmia, Kaalfontein, Esselen Park and Esselen Park Extensions
