Two men, believed to have been involved in robberies where people were followed from a bank, were arrested in Tembisa on Wednesday last.
One of the men is accused of being involved in a robbery at Festival Mall and the other in Booysens in Johannesburg.
Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesperson, said the metro police and police made the arrests at 5am in two different sections of Tembisa.

“The modus operandi of the suspects is to have a partner to spot clients withdrawing huge amounts of cash within a bank. The partner would relay the information to his accomplices outside and the victim would be held at gunpoint in the parking area and the cash taken,” Kgasago said.
A 23-year-old suspect was apprehended in Endolweni Section for a robbery at Festival Mall in May. A 41-year-old man was nabbed in Emfihlweni Section for a May robbery in Booysens.
The suspects’ cases were registered at Kempton Park and Booysens police stations respectively, Kgasago added.
