Donate your unwanted items to Famsa’s charity shop

That jersey you really don't like can help Famsa make a change.

Is your closet overflowing with clothes you don’t wear or your kitchen cupboards with appliances you just don’t use?

Whether it’s clothing, appliances or furniture, Families South Africa (Famsa) would appreciate any unused items as donations for its charity shop.

Famsa is a non-profitable organisation with 28 societies, staffed with qualified social workers, nationwide. According to its website, they develop human potential by providing counselling and training for South Africans who need help with relationships. Their main focus includes violence, trauma, abusive relationships and poverty.

“The charity shop is part of a fund-raising project,” Cindy Sithole, a member of Famsa, told Express.

“Money raised from the project will help us carry out our services.”

She invited the entire community to be part of the shop’s grand opening on June 28 from 9am to 3.30pm, in Pascoe Avenue, Kempton Park.

Anyone who would like to make donations towards the shop can contact Sithole at 011 975 7106/7 081 760 5356 or via email at national@famsa.org.za.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
