
Ekurhuleni residents and the business sector are reminded that as from July 1 tariffs will increase as announced by the MMC for finance and economic development, Clr Doctor Xhakaza, when he tabled the 2018/2019 budget speech.
Residents will start noticing changes to their July monthly account statements, said Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
Tariffs have increased as follows:
• Assessment rates 6.9%
• Water 12.96%
• Sanitation 9%
• Refuse removal 7.5%
• Electricity – between 5.32% and 8.5% (subject to usage)
