Suspect arrested inside house on Palmiet Street

Security officers responded to an alarm and found a suspect in the house.

A 34-year-old suspect was arrested on house break-in and theft charges on June 20.

“ADT security officers responded to an alarm about a house break-in on Palmiet Street and found a sliding-door which appeared to have been forced open,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

“The security officers found the house ransacked and one suspect in the house. Police were called to the scene and arrested the suspect.”

Brig Samuel Maredi, station commander at Kempton Park SAPS, commended the officers for their swift response and making sure the alleged criminal was brought to book.
