Get your Casual Day stickers from Casa Caritas today

Buy your Casual Day sticker from Casa Caritas and show your support for both initiatives.

Casual Day 2018 is on September 7 and it may seem far away, but before we know, it’s here.

Launched in 1995, Casual Day is South Africa’s leading fund-raising and awareness campaign benefiting persons with disabilities.

Each year, on the first Friday of September, South Africans are encouraged to dress differently. Either dress up or dress down and wear the official Casual Day sticker to show your support for persons with disabilities.

The campaign encourages the public to contribute financially through a small donation of R10 for a sticker, and at the same time lobbies for the full inclusion and equity of persons with disabilities.

So, not only does it raise funds, but it also raises awareness of the challenges and potential of the community in a fun way.

“Support Casa Caritas this Casual Day and make it the best Casual Day yet,” said the home’s Rochelle Bekker.

“The money raised through this campaign is for a good cause. Our home and lovely residents benefit from this every year.”

Casa Caritas has added a bit of motivation to this year’s Casual Day.

“We will be running a competition to see who our best supporters are for this year,” explained Bekker.

“There are three prizes up for grabs for three of our best supporters. We would like to give back to the people, companies and schools supporting us.”

Stickers can be purchased at Casa Caritas situated on 7 De Villiers Avenue, Terenure.
