Councillor gives blankets to elderly people
Ernest Motimele said the donation was made possible by Ward Two councillor Sylvia Nhlabathi
On Friday, July 20 elderly people of Ward Two assembled at Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre to receive blankets and food parcels.
Speaking on behalf of the event, Nomthandazo Nhlabathi said the aim of the event was to give back to the community.
“If the elderly are happy, we are also happy.
“Giving back to the elderly does not happen during Mandela Month only, it also happens during Christmas where people need to share love and give away Christmas presents,” said Nhlabathi.
Ernest Motimele said the donation was made possible by Ward Two councillor Sylvia Nhlabathi.
“I am happy for the participation of Ernest Motimele and Nomthandazo Nhlabathi. I appeal to them to do it again in the future,” said Cllr Nhlabathi.
