Jack and Day Care Centre hosted a pyjama party for their little ones on Friday, July 20.
The Early Childhood Development centre’s (ECD) principal, Rose Matabane, said the party was to raise funds for extra educational material.
“In our centre, we have children whose parents cannot afford to pay the fees.
“We, therefore, struggle to meet some of the needs we have,” said Matabane.
Jack and Day Care Centre is a registered ECD. The principal appeals for assistance from individuals and business organisations to assist in attaining the required educational material.
“The centre was established in 2014 with only four children and today we have 35 children.
“Many of these children are the neighbour’s children; I approached their parents to bring them to the centre.
“Their parents complain about money and I would say they must bring the children regardless,” said Matabane.
She believes it is every child’s right to be part of ECD education.
