The suspect was found in possession of dagga weighing 4kg

Members of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) arrested a 42-year-old man found in possession of dagga on July 27 at around 9.30am.

According to the EMPD spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, the man suspected of dealing in dagga was apprehended in Tembisa following a tip-off from members of Phomolong section.

“The suspect was found in possession of dagga weighing 4kg and valued at just over R10 000 on the streets. The 42-year-old male suspect was arrested by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit during the early morning operation on Lindelani Street in Phomolong Section, Tembisa. He was detained at Rabie Ridge SAPS on charges of possession and dealing in dagga,” said Kgasago.
