Telta members are urged to attend meeting

The main issue to discuss at the meeting is updating the association’s database

Tembisa Local Taxi Association (Telta) is inviting its members to attend their special general meeting.

According to the association’s spokesperson, Peter ‘The Black’ Ntsoane, the meeting will be held at Sam Hlalele Community Hall on August 16 and start at 10 am.

“The main issue to discuss at the meeting  is updating the association’s database. Members are urged to avail themselves and to check whether they are on the association’s database. Even those who are working are advised to attend,” said Ntsoane.

Ntsoane added they will be holding a second meeting at the same venue and time on August 23.

“In this meeting, the transport department’s registrar will be present to verify members who appear in the association’s database. On these two meetings, no apology will be accepted as members are urged to avail themselves. Our members are advised to note that if they fail to attend, they shouldn’t regard themselves as members of the association because they will be not registered,” added Ntsoane.

Ntsoane said members are also urged to come and collect their membership cards at the Oakmore office.
