Police maintain visible patrols to combat crime

Rabie Ridge police confiscates firearms during operation.

Rabie Ridge police conducted stop-and-search roadblocks to combat crime at several hotspots in the month of July.

Corporate communication at Rabie Ridge SAPS Captain Mofana Masela said the month of July 2018 had been an integrated policing month where stop-and-search operations by EMPD and SAPS at the township’s access points were implemented and firearms were seized.

“Police also maintained visible patrols around Rabie Ridge policing precinct which helped to secure a safe environment for the community.“Members involved in the operation confiscated four 9mm pistols and 107 illegal live ammunition.

“Police will continue with integrated operations and work with the community to create a safe environment for the people of this country,” said Captain Masela.
