Four puppies in plastic bag killed on Modderfontein Road

Kempton Park SPCA need information regarding the incident

Kempton Park SPCA made a gruesome discovery on Modderfontein Road on Friday morning.

“A call came in from a member of the public and alerted us about a plastic bag suspected to have kittens inside,” said Kira Sparrow, manager at Kempton Park SPCA.

“We rushed to the area only to find there were four puppies that had been killed from drivers slamming into the bag that was left on the road.”

The SPCA reaches out to people not to dump their animals but to rather bring them to the centre.

“If you no longer want your animals, bring them to us. The puppies were dead and destroyed by the time we reached them, this is a terrible and unnecessary fate,” said Kira.

“If there were any witnesses or anyone with information, please contact our offices on 011 028 3203.”
