WATCH: Same areas won’t have water again on Women’s Day

Residents will experience a drop in water pressure until the water is shut down for repairs

Another day without water looms for many residents who were waterless on Wednesday.

Ward councillor Jaco Terblanche on Thursday morning reporter two further burst pipes in his ward, one on Casuarina Street and the other on the corner of North Rand Road and Gottfriedt Street in the central business district.

The areas affected include the CBD, Kempton Park extensions, Kempton Park Ext 2-4, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park and Glen Marais.

Residents will experience a drop in water pressure until the water is shut down for repairs, he said. He is currently in discussions with the water department to find out whether it would be possible to shut down smaller areas at a time.

Updates will follow as they become available.
