A female suspect was arrested on Women’s Day for allegedly stabbing another woman that evening.
“Police were patrolling the area when they were stopped by a woman with stab wounds in the upper body,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson at Kempton Park SAPS.
“The victim showed police the woman who allegedly stabbed her and the suspect was arrested at the corner of Park and Langenhoven streets in Kempton Park CBD.”
Ditshego also said a verbal argument led to the stabbing.
“It is alleged by the suspect that she didn’t approve of the fact that the victim was in conversation with her boyfriend,” said Ditshego.
“She further said they had an argument which then led to the victim being stabbed with a pair of scissors. The victim took herself to hospital and the suspect faces assault charges.”
