A scooter which was stolen in Kempton Park three months ago had been found in Tembisa on Monday.
Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesperson, said equestrian members of the department were patrolling in Tembisa on Monday morning when they spotted a man on a Big Boy Swift 125cc scooter without number plates.
He was stopped and preliminary investigations revealed the bike was a stolen vehicle. The driver of the scooter was handcuffed at 9.30am.
Running the engine number returned confirmation that the scooter was stolen in Kempton Park in April.
The 33-year-old foreign national was charged at Tembisa Police Station for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
