Three accident victims’ bodies must be identified
Two of the men where pedestrians while a third was hit by a train.
Kempton Park SAPS needs the community’s help to identify three bodies.
Two of the men were killed in accidents and the third died when he was hit by a train. All three bodies are at the Germiston government mortuary.
According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, one incident took place on July 8 at about 7pm along Van Riebeeck and Great North roads near Pomona. An African male in his late 40s was knocked down by a motor vehicle.
The second incident took place on July 20 at about 6.30am, also on Great North Road towards Glen Marais. An African male in his late 30s was killed when he was also hit by a car.
In both incidents culpable homicide cases have been opened for investigation, Mtshali said.
The last incident occurred at Birchleigh Railway Station on July 17 at 6am. An African male victim was knocked down by a train. He was wearing a blue jean, blue worksuit, black boots and brown jersey.
