WATCH: Fire engulfs Norkem Park home while nobody is home
Flames filled the home and engulfed part of the roof.
A fire engulfed half of a house in Norkem Park on Friday.
Video footage supplied to Express shows flames higher than the single-storey home blazing through the roof. Glass can be heard shattering, as the flames fill what appears to be a living room.
Thankfully, no one was home at the time.

According to Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, it was an SSS Smart Security member who attended the complaint of a burning house in Martin Prinsloo Avenue at around 7.30am.
“When police arrived they found that half of the house was on fire,” Molokomme told Express. Kempton Park Fire Station was called to the scene.
When Express arrived on the scene shortly after 8am, the fire was successfully extinguished. Witnesses to the event did not wish to give comment.
According to Molokomme, an enquiry docket has been opened while the Norkem station awaits forensics results. Molokomme confirmed on Monday that the cause of the fire is still unknown.
