An integrated crime prevention operation led to an arrest of teenage drug dealers in Norkem Park.
Rabie Ridge SAPS communications officer Captain Mofana Masela said on August 6, Norkem Park Crime Prevention and Flying Squad members were called in to search for a young woman reported missing by her mother who lives in Terenure.
“The mother pointed out a room where her child was supposed to be.
“On arrival at the room, SAPS found a glass with dagga. The young occupants alleged they had a party and led the police to the garage where they found two young people with girls and five packs of dagga weighing 387g and R538.60 cash accumulated from the sale of the drugs.”
Police arrested the three young people for possession of and dealing in drugs.
A case of a missing person, possession of drugs and dealing in drugs are investigated by the police.
The suspects were charged and appeared in Tembisas Magistrate’s Court on August 7,” said Masela.
The police alert the community, especially young people, about the trend of young girls being kidnapped for drug trafficking and rape around Gauteng, including Norkem Park, Tembisa and Kempton Park.
