UPDATE: Water shut down to make way for Isando pipe repairs

Water tankers have been made available to supply water to the affected areas.

Technicians are working tirelessly to replace a leaking 600mm water pipe on Isando Road.

Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro, said the water supply had been shut down to make way for the repairs.

Repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday, September 13 before sunrise.

The affected areas include:

•  Isando
•  Spartan
•  Kempton CBD
•  Glen Marais
•  Glen Erasmia
•  Aston Manor
•  Allen Grove
•  Nimrod Park
•  Esther Park
•  Chloorkop
Water tankers have been made available to supply water to the affected areas.

The City of Ekurhuleni apologises for any inconvenience caused.
